Fishing Gear
If you want to be successful, you need to arrive with the right gear. Good, reliable equipment and appropriate clothing are the first steps. Mobility is one of the most important factors for a sea trout angler.
How much fishing gear, food, drink, and clothing you bring in your car is not really important. But from the moment you leave the car and head out to fish, you need to think carefully. Never carry more gear than fits in your pockets and, if possible, a small backpack. Forget large tackle boxes—you need to be able to move freely while fishing.
Things to take with you to the shore
Thorough preparation is essential, and the more situations you are prepared for, the better your chances. Some items should be kept in your pockets, while others can stay in the car.
- Measuring tape – remember that the minimum legal size for sea trout is 50 cm
- Spare fishing line – it can get tangled at any time
- Pocket knife
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Small backpack
- A bit of extra energy, for example a piece of chocolate
Things to keep in the car
- Spare clothes – in case you accidentally get wet in the sea

- Drinking water
