Summer fishing

When coastal waters become truly warm in early June, sea trout fishing changes significantly.

Bright sun and clear, warm water can make sea trout fishing more challenging. However, as the sun sets, fish become more active and start feeding more in nutrient-rich waters.

Early morning is also an excellent time, as the cooler night lowers the water temperature and increases fish activity. It is worth searching for fish beyond deeper drop-offs.

Summer fishing therefore largely means “night fishing.” Look for areas with deeper and thus cooler water, preferably with stronger currents. Water tends to cool more in wave-exposed areas, as heat dissipates more quickly there.

Lures

Fish tend to prefer natural colors, and as summer progresses, smaller lures become more effective.
